UCHealth, a leading nonprofit healthcare system based in Colorado, is seeking a dedicated and skilled RN ICU Hospital Float Pool Nurse to join our team for nighttime shifts. This position is crucial for maintaining the high standards of care we provide at our various facilities. As a Float Pool Nurse, you will have the unique opportunity to work across multiple intensive care units, adapting to different settings and teams while delivering exceptional patient care. Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles. Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care needs in the ICU setting. Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records. Perform diagnostic tests, administer medications, and develop patient care plans in conjunction with the healthcare team. Maintain a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients and their families. Educate patients and their families on illness and injury prevention and wellness maintenance. Maintain continuity among nursing teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. Strong clinical skills in a critical care environment Ability to work effectively within a team and independently Competent in handling severe health situations and making quick decisions under pressure Proficient in using medical software and electronic health records Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid RN license in the state of Colorado BLS/CPR certification ACLS certification preferred
