orthopedic and some neuro cases Description: Hiring process
includes profile review and interview with the unit manager. Week
of orientation: Clinicians must be present in-state for the
duration of orientation. Daily patient caseload is approximately
8-12. General certification requirements include BLS and a valid
state PT license. Common diagnoses treated involve orthopedic
cases, post-joint surgeries, pain management, back issues,
post-falls, post-neuro, and some sports injuries. The position
mainly involves outpatient orthopedic therapy, with some acute
inpatient cases. There is a warm water therapy pool available.
Required areas of coverage include outpatient therapy and some
inpatient acute care. The team includes a PT manager, a lead PT,
and three PT assistants. Scheduling consists of four 10-hour days
per week. Sessions are 45 minutes long, with designated time blocks
for inpatient evaluations and documentation. Weekend on-call duty
is required only occasionally. There are no holiday requirements
for this position. Dress code allows for scrubs or business casual
attire. The first week will include department-specific
orientation. Hospital can cancel up to four shifts during the
assignment. Charting is performed using the EPIC system. BSN degree
is not required for this position. License submission is mandatory.
