Job Opportunity: Chief Investment Officer, Wyoming State Treasurer's OfficeThe Wyoming State Treasurer's Office is seeking an accomplished investment executive to serve as the Chief Investment Officer (CIO). The CIO will lead the Investments Division overseeing $31 billion in trust assets, including one of the top sovereign wealth funds in the United States.The successful candidate will oversee $31 billion in non-pension assets, with $10 billion managed internally, and lead a team of 10 experienced professionals. The investment program is complex, comprising 13 distinct pools, including permanent and non-permanent funds, with the largest being the Permanent Mineral Trust Fund valued at $11.6 billion.The ideal candidate is a strategically focused, disciplined, and prudent investor who aims to achieve the highest risk-adjusted returns within the framework of the Investment Policy Statement (IPS). They should value intellectual debate, empower team members, and establish clear goals and accountability.Broad asset class knowledge and institutional experience, especially in portfolio construction, asset allocation, and risk management, are essential.
