Job Description BAE Systems is looking for well-qualified
professionals to join our team for an exciting opportunity
supporting our USSF support activities. Successful candidates will
demonstrate the ability to accomplish the following activities
while leading a team of subject matter experts and engineers
accomplishing the same:
- Manage, coordinate, plan, organize, control, integrate, and
execute a project or collection of projects. Ensure achievement of
financial, schedule, technical, and new business performance
objectives. Participate in the support of new business and in the
development of financial plans for the company. Model and
demonstrate strong leadership in ethics, safety and security.
Direct people-management responsibility is required.
- Attend conferences and meetings to represent assigned activity.
Developing working group meeting agendas, preparing and
consolidating briefing materials, meeting minutes, and answers to
action items assigned by other agencies or organizations
- Conduct research in areas which require a high level of
expertise and knowledge in areas of specialization and some related
fields. Maintaining knowledge in area of specialization and
awareness of developments in the remaining related fields,
including extensive contributions to proposal efforts when
requested by management
- Evaluate plans and criteria for technical activities and
recommending alternatives as required to comply with customer and
company obligations.
- Direct project activities or segments of major projects
responsible for achievement of schedule, cost, and technical
performance objectives. Prepare project execution plan and identify
technical and business resources needed. Review status of projects
and budgets, manage schedules and prepare status reports. Assess
issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and
client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Provide technical and
analytical guidance to project team.
- Handle other duties as assigned.This position will help plan
for cost, schedule and technical delivery for their assigned
portfolio and will be an interface with USSF Organizations. This
position will provide advice on corporate objectives including
return on sales, product delivery (to include hours delivered),
product quality and business growth. The position requires frequent
visits to additional BAE Systems and/or Customer locations.This
position will primarily perform these activities in or around
Colorado Springs, CO. Hybrid work accommodations may be
considered.Please note, pursuant to US Government contract, this
position requires US Citizenship.#ASFSRequired Education,
Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor's degree relevant to their area of expertise limited
to the following: Management, Business, Acquisition, Economics,
Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Technology, Engineering and
Operations Research.
- At least 10 years relevant experience performing program
management activities for the Government in support of operations,
sustainment, maintenance and logistics.
- Able to work independently and demonstrate strong initiative,
complex problem solving, and an ability to organize assigned daily
tasks and the tasks of subordinates with no supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to develop employees into a highly
skilled, capable, enduring workforce through mentoring, training,
career growth counseling, and workforce councils.
- Ability to identify, establish and cultivate important customer
relationships with senior level officials and program stakeholders
in the USAF, USSF, AFMC and SSC.
- Knowledge of Government contracting and current acquisition
trends.
- Knowledge of competitors and ability to model competitor
behaviors in the market.
- Possess exceptional communication skills (oral and written) as
well as the ability to interact with team members, external
vendors, various levels of management and internal clients with
assorted levels of computer experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and the use of an
electronic Government authorized information management system,
collaboration portal, or Integrated Data Environment
(IDE).Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Possess an active PMI Project Management Professional (PMP)
certification, or a Program Management Professional (PgMP)
certification.
- Post-graduate degree in related technical, acquisition, or
program management related discipline.
- Knowledge and experience working in the DoD/DOE technical
services industry.
- Experience in community networking with academia and
non-defense agencies.
- Experience in the planning, development, and execution of
adjacent growth market opportunities and business plans.
- Experience as a DoD System Program Manager.
- Experience running a large industrial production
operation.
- Experience working with non-engineering functions and business
processes such as:
- Business Development; Proposal Development; Pricing, Finance,
Procurement.
- DoD contracts and program management.
- Managing large-scale and complex contracts, with responsibility
to meet cost, schedule, and performance requirements.
- Leading geographically dispersed operations and engineering
staff of varying skill levels.Pay InformationFull-Time Salary
Range: $115100 - $195700Please note: This range is based on our
market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined
by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business
considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as
well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and
