Job Description US CITIZENSHIP REQUIREDWe are seeking a Senior
Systems Administrator with a focus of Microsoft Windows/Red Hat
Enterprise Linux and VMware infrastructure support. The Systems
Administrator will be expected to team with peers, internal
customers, and management to strengthen the consistency and
standardization of IT infrastructure services to achieve
operational excellence and program success. While this position is
an individual contributor role, collaboration and solid technical
knowledge and skills will be essential attributes.The Enterprise
Assurance Strategic Capabilities Unit delivers critical assurance
disciplines that protect and enable people, data and missions. We
provide a comprehensive approach to managing risk across the
enterprise for current and future information environments where
the business and missions execute. We apply the use of innovative
tools and robust processes to ensure mission and business
success.What You'll Do:
- Interface with internal customers, security, and management
teams for: maintaining production systems, resolving issues with
services and physical systems.
- Responsible for working with internal users of these
applications to understand functionality needs, configure the
system to provide requested functionality and provide second level
user support as needed.
- Install, maintain, and support multiple Windows and Linux based
workstations and servers on physical and virtual platforms in
support of program initiatives.
- Support engineering applications, including JAMA, Syndia,
Tasktop, Materials Based System Engineering (MBSE), and Company
Software Factory.
- Support VMWare Tanzu environments, including support of
Kubernetes, GitLab, Artifactory, Vault, Grafana, Ansible.
- Support DevSecOps tools, including Atlassian Tools, Jenkins,
Azure DevOps.
- Support the deployment of new instances/enhancements/upgrades
of these applications inside multiple classified environments.
- Execute troubleshooting skills to address stability objectives
both reactively and proactively.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within
the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic
Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with
others in order to maintain a positive and productive work
environment.
- Perform other duties as necessary.On-Site Work Environment:
This position requires regular in-person engagement by working
on-site three or more days each normally scheduled week in the
primary work location. Travel and local commute between company
campuses and other possible non-company locations may be
required.Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory,
cleanroom, or production floor.Required Education, Experience, &
Skills
- Related Bachelor's and 8 or more years of related experience;
or HS Diploma and 14 or more years of related experience.
- Each higher-level degree, i.e., Associate's, Bachelor's Degree,
Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for additional years of
experience.
- Related certifications may count towards years of related
experience.
- Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of
education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school
which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of
Education, US Department of Education.
- DoD 8570 compliance is required.
- Excellent documentation skills, organization skills, and the
ability to interact with team members cross-functionally.
- Solid troubleshooting skills (OS, Applications, Network,
etc).
- Customer service oriented, excellent communication and
listening skills, organizational skills, ability to collaborate
across cross-functional teams, be self-motivated, detail oriented,
etc.Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Experience with Linux servers, scripting and support.
- Experience with specialized network environments (air gapped,
limited access).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IAC) and cloud-based
technologies (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure Cloud, Terraform,
Kubernetes).
- Experience with VMWare technologies (vSphere ESXI, vCenter,
vRealize Operations Manager, Tanzu, NSX).
- Experience with Scripting tools (Ansible)Pay
InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $115000 - $158500Please note:
This range is based on our market pay structures. However,
individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors
including, but not limited to: business considerations, local
market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate
qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience. Employee
