Job Description:
The role of the Menu Specialist entails the development and
upkeep of Shamrock Foods' Menu Program. This web-based program
offers customers a comprehensive suite of cycle and service menus,
recipes, and supplementary resources designed to optimize the
efficacy of their foodservice operation. The program includes
provisions for nutritional analysis and labeling, further enhancing
its utility and compliance with industry standards.Essential
Duties:Facilitate menu creation and development across various
categories including regional, holiday, seasonal, cycle, and
customized per-resident-day (PRD) menus, adhering to ADA
requirements.Develop and refine recipes, including therapeutic
diets, while ensuring accurate allergen and nutritional
information.Maintain the menu ingredient database by meticulously
updating nutrition information, managing item substitutions, and
streamlining item and recipe specifications.Assist in content
management, ongoing maintenance, and troubleshooting technical
issues in all menu-related areas including cycle and service menus,
ordering platforms, purchasing systems, reports generation, and
resident and inventory management.Provide exemplary customer
support and technical assistance to menu customers, encompassing
menu customization, ordering processes, and resident and inventory
management.Create and update end-user training materials to ensure
clarity and effectiveness.Demonstrate the benefits and suitability
of the program to potential customers.Conduct comprehensive
in-person or virtual end-user menu program training sessions.Other
duties as assigned.Qualifications:Registered Dietitian
Nutritionist.Proficiency in rapidly acquiring system knowledge and
awareness.Strong proficiency in culinary math skills including
calculating cost yields, nutrition yields, portion sizing of
recipes, and measurement conversions.Knowledge in clinical
nutrition and/or food distribution is desirable.Demonstrated
quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to drive team
results and facilitate change management.Ability to quickly develop
a strong understanding of products within assigned
categories.Excellent verbal, written, and presentation
skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.May require up to 25%
travel.Starting compensation of $65,000 per year.Shamrock
